From the bench to her own practice
Leonore Swart · Attorney & Conveyancer
Leonore grew up in a small town in the Southern Cape. She obtained her LLB degree from North-West University and was admitted as an attorney in 2012.
Her legal career has spanned private practice, Legal Aid, prosecution and service as an Acting Magistrate. This diverse experience has given her a broad perspective on the law, allowing her to understand the justice system from the perspectives of the defence, the prosecution and the bench.
In 2025, she founded L Swart Attorneys Inc. in George and qualified as a conveyancer, passing both papers of the conveyancing examination in her first sitting. In September 2025, she received first place in the conveyancing examination category at the Gawie le Roux Institute of Law awards.
Today, she combines her courtroom experience, legal knowledge and conveyancing work to provide clients with professional, practical and personalised legal services.
Sometimes it is the closed doors and setbacks that lead us to the most meaningful and new chapters.
